FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Where is the data stored?
On your server and in your domain. Conversations, accounts and backups stay under your control.
Is it hard to maintain?
We take operations on ourselves: updates, backups and help for administrators and users as part of the support service.
Can Telegram and WhatsApp be connected?
Optionally, via Matrix bridges — as a separate option after checking compatibility and limitations. Migrating the full history is not guaranteed.
Are there calls for external participants?
Yes, optionally — guest calls via a link through a guest-call setup, without installation or an account.
Is it E2EE?
The solution is E2EE-first: message content can be encrypted end-to-end. End-to-end encryption protects message content but not all metadata.
How long does deployment take?
Timelines depend on team size and scenarios. We give a precise estimate after discovery and sizing.
The product is based on open-source Matrix and Element Web. It is not an Element product and is not supported by Element.
